Evangelical’s Pre-Admission Care Team Presented Excellence Award
The Pre-Admission Care team was recently presented with the Team CHOICE Award at Evangelical Community Hospital.
The Team CHOICE Award recognizes departments within the Evangelical Community Hospital family of facilities who uphold the highest standards of Communication, Hospitality, Ownership, Integrity, Confidentiality, and Empathy. The award is given quarterly to a department out of nominations received from employees and managers.
The staff of the Pre-Admission Care team works with patients to prepare them before their procedures. This includes educating the patient, running appropriate screens and tests, and collecting the patient’s health history.
The group was nominated by Lisa Proud, Director of Peri-Operative Services, to receive the honor. In the nomination, Proud said, “The Pre-Admission Care team demonstrates excellent teamwork and a collaborative spirit in working with many internal and external customers. They are patient-focused and exhibit compassion, respect, and accountability in meeting the needs of their patients and coworkers.”
Proud continued, “Patients often thank staff for the attention and education they receive and other departments express appreciation for the assistance Pre-Admission Care staff give them.”
The award was presented to the team by Kendra Aucker, President and CEO at Evangelical Community Hospital.
