Henry Hynoski of the New York Giants Works Out With Kids at Evangelical Fitness Center
LEWISBURG - Henry Hynoski, fullback with the National Football League’s New York Giants, along with his personal trainer, Paul “Babe” Mayer, conducted a workout experience at the Evangelical Community Hospital Fitness Center on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.
The workout was the result of the Evangelical Gala which was held in March 2014 to raise funds in support of Rehabilitation Services at Evangelical Community Hospital. Attendees were asked to bid on silent auction items which included the one hour workout and opportunity to have photos taken with the football star. The winning bidder was Joanne Troutman of Mifflinburg who purchased the item for her son, Max, and his friends, Clayton Sheesley, Cade Dressler, Josh Foster, and Noah Stetler.
Hynoski, who is originally from Elysburg, Pa., and went to Southern Columbia High School, spent the hour working out side-by-side with the kids as Babe Mayer taught the group how to “fire their glutes.” The training session focused on exercises for their core and ladder training to give them the agility and quickness to excel in sports and in training for fitness.
After the workout, Hynoski commented on how they did during the workout saying, “You did great today -- you did better than I’ve seen many do on that workout for a first time.” He also took a moment to deliver a clear message about life beyond the workout, “Focus on what you want to achieve and you can make it happen. Stay strong in school, get good grades, and set your mind toward your goals and you’ll go far.”
Heather Snyder, Development Coordinator at Evangelical Community Hospital, said, “We are appreciative of Henry and Babe’s support of the 2014 Evangelical Gala by donating this wonderful opportunity for bid. Their workout was a popular item during the silent auction, helping to contribute to the more than $95,000 raised to support Evangelical’s Rehabilitation Services. The Hospital is fortunate to have individuals throughout the community who want to support its programs and services.”
