Is Your Child Safety Seat Installed Correctly? Get it Checked.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for young children, but many of these deaths can be prevented if children ride in a properly fastened and secured car seat.
On Friday, April 26, 2013, Evangelical Community Hospital will be holding a child safety seat event at the Evangelical Community Health Education Center, located on Route 15, from 1-6 pm. Four out of five child safety seats are installed incorrectly, attending this event will help make sure yours is not one of them.
Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians will be available to instruct parents on how to properly install their child safety seat and demonstrate how to safely secure their child. Participants are asked to bring their vehicle, the owner’s manual for the vehicle, and the instruction manual for the safety seat they are using. No appointment is required.
