Healthcare Provider Course
Course Description:
The BLS healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for
helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation
with a barrier device, a bag-mask device and oxygen); use
of an automated external defibrillator (AED); and relief
of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It is intended
for participants who provide health care to patients in
a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and out-of-
hospital. For certified or noncertified, licensed or nonlicensed
healthcare professionals.
Course Length: Initial - 8 hours
Recertification - 4 hours
Intended Audience:
Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics,
emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical
and occupational therapists, physician assistants, residents
or fellows, medical or nursing students in training, aides,
medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other
allied health professionals.

PALS-
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course
Course Description:
The goal of the Pediatric Advance Life Support Course
is to provide the learner with:
- Information needed to recognize infants and children
at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest
- Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary
arrest in infants and children.
- The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate
and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure,
shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.
Course Length:
Initial - 16 hours
Recertification- 8 hours
Intended Audience:
Pediatricians, house staff, emergency physicians, family
physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists,
and other healthcare providers who are responsible for
the well-being of infants and children.

ACLS
Provider Course
Course Description:
The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills
needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of
an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia
(VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage
10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types
of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and
asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia,
stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary
syndromes) and stroke.
Course Length:
Initial – 12 hours
Recertification – 8 hours
Intended Audience:
Personnel staffing emergency, intensive care or critical
care departments; emergency medical providers such as
physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics,
respiratory therapists and other professionals who may
respond to a cardiovascular emergency.

Basic
Rhythm Interpretation Course
Course Description:
The goal of the Basic Rhythm Interpretation Course is
to learn a systematic approach to successfully interpreting
cardiac rhythms through:
- Describing normal cardiac anatomy and blood flow
- Identifying the functions and structures of the cardiac
conduction system
- Tracing the origin and spread of the electrical impulses
through the heart
- Identifying the waves, intervals, and normal values
of the cardiac cycle
- State the steps of rhythm interpretation
- Identify arrhythmias
Course Length:
14 hours
Intended Audience:
Healthcare providers such as nurses, working with cardiac
monitored patients and healthcare providers interested
in becoming an ACLS provider.

Neonate Resuscitation Provider Course
Course Description:
This course is based on the American Academy of Pediatrics
(AAP) and American Heart Association’s International
Guidelines for Emergency Cardiovascular Care of the Newborn.
The Neonatal Resuscitation program is an educational program
that introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal
resuscitation. Completion of the program does not imply
that an individual has the competence to perform neonatal
resuscitation.
Course Length:
Initial – 8 hours
Recertification - 4 hours
Intended Audience:
Healthcare providers such as nurses, physicians, respiratory
therapists, paramedics, emergency medical technicians,
and any other professionals working with neonatal patients.
