Our Purpose
The Mae F. Keefer Scholarship Fund encourages
students to pursue a career in professional nursing. Designed
to reward those candidates interested in pursuing a career
in nursing, this scholarship will address the local nursing
shortage and future work force needs of our community. Meet

Scholarship
Eligibility
1. Graduate or candidate graduate from an accredited high
school in Union, Synder, or Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.
2. Letter of acceptance at an accredited school of nursing
pursuing licensure as a registered professional nurse.
3. Two written letters of recommendation teachers, coaches
or employers.
4. A written essay describing your reasons for pursuing
a career in nursing.

Applications are also available through
the guidance offices of high schools throughout Union,
Synder, and Northumberland Counties.
Distribution
and Continued Eligibility of Scholarship Funds
Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipient’s
school of choice.
Awards will be available to each recipient
on a yearly basis for a maximum of four years provided
the student maintains a cumulative GPA score of 3.0 or
better AND completion of a Renewal
