Evangelical Community Hospital’s Bariatric Program was developed to help obese individuals achieve permanent weight loss through surgery. If accepted into the program, you can expect to be personally guided throughout the process.
If you are a candidate for surgery, you will begin the program with an initial physician visit. You will also meet with a Registered Dietitian on a monthly basis to achieve the required weight loss prior to surgery. Our program also includes a personalized exercise program designed to assist you in your weight loss goals. Our nursing staff remains in contact with each patient throughout your participation in the program.
Our program benefits include:
- Every visit is supervised by our Board Certified physician
- Health monitoring and comprehensive lab work
- Medical and individual progress reviews
- Nutrition counseling
- Individualized meal plans
- Exercise plan review
- Behavior modification for lasting results
- Monthly support group meetings
- “Bari-Buddy” – phone and e-mail network
