Speakers Bureau

The purpose of Evangelical's Speakers Bureau is to provide the community with an opportunity to become better acquainted with our physicians and staff members and to become better educated in health-oriented topics.

Members of Evangelical's Speakers Bureau are available to provide a wide range of interesting programs regarding health information, health care advances, or health education and career opportunities for any group, large or small, service club, church group or business organization. Our speakers include physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists and other Hospital staff members.

If you are interested in a topic that is not listed, please ask. We will attempt to schedule an appropriate speaker.

How the Speakers Bureau Works

If you are interested in arranging the services of a speaker, you may make the request by filling out this online form or click here to send email. You can also send your request by postal mail to:

Speakers Bureau - c/o Elizabeth Hendricks
Development and Public Relations

Evangelical Community Hospital
One Hospital Drive
Lewisburg, PA 17837

or by phone at (570) 522-4160.

Please contact the Speaker's Bureau four or more weeks prior to the event.

We will need the following information at the time of your call or in your letter:

  • Name of your group or organization
  • Name, address and daytime telephone number of group's contact person
  • Date, time and location of meeting
  • Directions to meeting place
  • Approximate number to attend meeting and description of group
  • First and second choices for topics
  • Expected length of presentation, including question and answer session

If you prefer, you can use the online Speaker Request Form to provide the needed information.

A letter confirming the engagement will be sent to you along with a form to evaluate the speaker. Please complete the evaluation form and return it to the Development & Community Relation office after the speaking engagement.

Any organization may engage a speaker from Evangelical without charge provided the speaker does not need to travel a long distance. Honoraria are not required by any of our speakers. However, if a club normally offers an honorarium, it is asked to do so for Evangelical as well. The club may designate to which fund the money should be donated.

Due to an overwhelming number of requests, we must limit organizations to only 2 speakers per year.

Common Questions

Is there a charge for your speakers?
No. This is a free service offered by the Hospital. However, if your club or group usually offers an honorarium, it is asked to do so for Evangelical Community Hospital as well. The speaker will designate to which fund the money will be donated.

Can we have a speaker for our event next week?
Our staff members have very full schedules and it is difficult to rearrange their schedules on short notice. Due to this, we require at least a four-week notice for requests.
