The Infusion Center

The Infusion Center is located on the second floor of Evangelical Community Hospital, directly across the hall from One Day Surgery.

The Infusion Center provides the following intravenous medications and treatments:

  • Blood and Platelet Transfusions
  • IV Hydration and Fluid Replacement
  • IV Administration  of Reclast (for osteoporosis and osteopenia)
  • IV Administration of Boniva (for osteoporosis)
  • IV Administration of Aredia
  • IV Administration of Prolastin (for Alpha 1 patients)
  • IV Solumedrol (for Multiple Sclerosis)
  • IV Antibiotics
  • IV Administration of Remicade (for Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis)
  • IV Administration of Iron
  • IV Administration of Enzyme Deficiency Treatments (ie. Fabrazyme)
  • IV Administration of Intravenous Gamma Globulin (IVIG)
  • Implanted Port Flushes (regular and power ports)
  • Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter placements
  • Mid-line Catheter placements
  • Blood drawing from Implanted Ports and Venous Access Devices
  • Venous Access Device dressing changes
  • Alteplase declotting of Venous Access Devices
  • BCG and Mitomycin Bladder Instillations
  • Cosyntropin Stimulation Test
  • IM Administration of Sandostatin, Vitamin K and Lupron Depot
  • SQ Administration of Procrit, Epogen, Aranesp, Neupogen, Zoladex, Neumega, Neulasta
  • Refilling of Implanted Pumps
  • Lovenox Bridging
