All of our vascular services are now incorporated in to one center. The new Center was developed to offer comprehensive services in a convenient location. The Center treats a full range of vascular disorders--conditions that involve the narrowing of arteries caused by plaque buildup, thereby reducing blood flow to the arteries and veins.

Peripheral vascular disease (PVD) can cause numerous problems ranging from leg pain during physical activity to more severe conditions that may require open vascular surgery or endovascular interventions, such as angioplasty or stents.

As part of the new Vascular Center concept, a state-of-the-art Interventional Suite to diagnose and treat restrictive and occluded vessel disease was added to the recently renovated Radiology Department. The Suite offers imaging qualities that are beyond typical centers. What you can see with the new imaging is amazing. The Suite allows for safer and more accurate interventional procedures and improves the lives of patients suffering from vascular disease.

Patients are evaluated in a clinic setting in the Outpatient Clinics Building; the diagnostic testing is done within the Hospital's Vascular Lab, and the physician and patient form a conservative treatment plan to manage the patient's disease in the most minimally invasive way possible. This could be achieved through the interventional suite or surgery, depending upon the severity of the problem.
