Nursing Scholarships at Evangelical

Nursing scholarships at Evan provide support to local students entering the nursing profession. Each year, students can submit an application. Their application materials are reviewed by a committee of nurses, educators, and administrators who select scholarship recipients based on eligibility and need.

The number of scholarship recipients and the amounts of individual awards will be determined by a Scholarship Committee, as specified in the endowment's bylaws, with payment made directly to the school of the scholarship recipient’s choice.

The Need for Additional Scholarships
Each year there are more eligible students applying for aid, than scholarship funding available. Therefore, additional gifts to the Keefer and Crystal Carter Snyder Funds are critical.

The Keefer Scholarship Fund and the Crystal Carter Snyder scholarship are endowed funds, with the money available for scholarships dependent upon income earned by the principal. Each year there has been a growing number of local high school students who are interested in receiving support. There is never enough funding available to ensure that eligible students who need assistance are awarded a scholarship.

Therefore, additional gifts to nursing endowments are critical. Gifts of cash and stock can help provide immediate new income. Planned gifts and bequests can help to ensure that future nursing students will be afforded the opportunity for support.
