Memorial & Honor Gifts
Frequently, individuals and families choose to make gifts in memory of a loved one or friend. These gifts provide lasting tributes and can be designated to specific programs or services supported by the Hospital. We will notify the family of all gifts received in their loved one’s memory.
If you wish to request that memorial contributions be made to the Hospital in lieu of flowers, the following wording may be used:
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to: Evangelical Community Hospital One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
A gift made in honor of a loved one, friend, caregiver or co-worker can express thanks and appreciation, or convey best wishes or congratulations. These gifts are often made to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, or in recognition of a special act of kindness or service. The Hospital will notify the honoree of the gift.
Memorial Garden and Children’s Memorial Garden
Located next to the Degenstein Pavilion/Main Entrance of the Hospital, the Memorial Garden is a special place for family and friends to remember a loved one. This tranquil setting is filled with beautiful plantings, a gazebo and a walking path designed to encourage relaxation and reflection. Surrounded by peaceful beauty, the Memorial Garden gives families and friends who have lost a loved one a special place for healing and reflection.
Two special remembrance plaques are located within the garden:
- An adult remembrance plaque, designed with beautifully engraved name plates bearing the names of those who have been memorialized, located next to the gazebo in the garden.
- A children's memorial plaque, surrounded by angels and located along the walking path. For parents who have experienced a miscarriage, still birth or loss of a newborn or child, the memorial garden is a place to help heal the mind and spirit.
