The Evangelical Care Fund

2010-2011 Care Fund Letter

A Letter From Chris Bingaman, Grateful Patient

Evangelical Community Hospital helped save my life. Several years ago, I received a serious diagnosis that required constant medical care, much of which was provided by Evan. During that time, I received expert and compassionate care in each and every contact I had with the Hospital’s staff.

I have a new appreciation for advanced healthcare that we have right here in the Susquehanna Valley.  I've learned Evangelical Community Hospital routinely seeks to improve in order to address the needs of Valley residents. Evan continues to expand, even in these challenging times.

In 2012, the Hospital will open its new addition. The 41,000 square foot Surgical & Cardiovascular Expansion Project will provide space on the first floor for two cardiac catheterization labs and a new home for cardiac rehab. The second floor will house eight new operating rooms and a pre- and post-operative patient care area. Existing spaces, including One Day Surgery, are already being renovated.

Evangelical Community Hospital is a proven healthcare leader in the Valley, which is why my family and I have been loyal supporters of the Hospital for more than 15 years. Without our financial support, Evan could not maintain the services that improve the lives of our family, friends and neighbors - I am living proof.

I hope you’ll join Heidi and me in making a gift to Evangelical Community Hospital and perhaps designate a portion of it to the Surgical & Cardiovascular Expansion project this year. Every new gift made before Dec. 31 will be generously matched by the Degenstein Foundation (up to a total of $150,000).

Thank you for your consideration and for your support of Evangelical Community Hospital.
