Advanced Practitioners Join Evangelical’s Care Teams

Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg has added several new advanced practitioners to its roster of medical experts.

Evangelical Medical Services Organization (EMSO) welcomes Katherine Gallagher, PA-C. Gallagher provides medical care at Urgent Care of Evangelical and Family Medicine of Evangelical-Mifflinburg, as well as coverage at other Family Medicine of Evangelical practices throughout the area when needed.

Jenna Foust, PA-C, has joined the Evangelical Hospitalist Group. Hospitalists specialize in inpatient care and serve as a liaison between the Hospital and the patient’s primary care physician during their inpatient hospital stay.

Jonathan Demchak, PA-C, has joined the Emergency Department at Evangelical and specializes in the rapid recognition and treatment of trauma and acute illness. The Department is open for all emergency medical needs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and is an integral part of the Hospital system.
Family Medicine of Evangelical-Lewisburg, located in the Professional Office Building on the main

Hospital campus, welcomes Laura Smith, CRNP, to the practice. She joins James Patterson, MD, in serving the medical needs of both children and adults at the Family Medicine practice.

Alyssa Napp, PA-C, has joined the team at the Heart and Vascular Center of Evangelical, located in the Professional Office Building on the main Hospital campus. The Heart and Vascular team has the experience to offer expert diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of a wide range of venous conditions and vascular diseases.

Advanced practitioners, such as physician assistants (PAs) and nurse practitioners (NPs), play a vital role in patient care. They are educated and trained to provide health promotion and maintenance through the diagnosis and treatment of acute illness and chronic conditions. These clinicians, who are certified and state-licensed medical professionals, work in collaboration with physicians and others to make up a complete care team.
