Evangelical Community Hospital Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors

Evangelical Community Hospital has announced new appointments to its Board of Directors. The 21-member Board is comprised of community members who have an interest in furthering the future of the Hospital by working with Administration on decision-making and guidance. 

Frank Daniel (Dan) Davis, PhD, of Danville, is the Chief Bioethics Officer at Geisinger Health Center for Translational Bioethics and Healthcare Policy. He brings with him skills in clinical ethics consultation, healthcare communication, organizational ethics, and strategic planning. He is a graduate of The College of Arts and Sciences and received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Georgetown University.

Susan Jane Fetterman, RN, of Orangeville, is an Adjunct Professor at Bloomsburg University. She is a critical care nurse and former Geisinger Health executive. Her skills and expertise include business strategy and marketing expertise, as well as physician practice, nursing, ambulatory care, and operations management. She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing, and Master of Business Administration degrees. Fetterman is active as an Advisory Council member for the Bloomsburg University Nursing Program; a Board member for the Bloomsburg University Foundation; a member of the Finance Committee for St. Columba Church; and a Board member and Finance Committee member of Maria Joseph Manor Community.

Susan Little Lantz, of Lewisburg, is Vice President for Student Life at Susquehanna University. In addition to higher education leadership, organization, and crisis/risk management, Lantz has experience in writing, editing, and strategic planning. She is a graduate of Dickinson College and received her Master’s Degree from Bowling Green State University and her Doctoral Degree from the University of Delaware. Lantz actively serves on the Go Red for Women Campaign with the American Heart Association.

Teri Jane MacBride, of Lewisburg, is a retired PPL executive. She has extensive experience in economic development and community relations. She is a graduate of American University and completed her post-graduate work at Shippensburg University. MacBride is extremely active in her local community including being part of the League of Women’s Voters of the Lewisburg Area; the Union/Snyder County Agency of Aging; SEDA-COG Natural Gas Cooperative; Camp Victory; Billtown Blues Association; First Community Foundation Partnership of PA; Union County Higher Education Facilities Financial Authority; East Buffalo Township #4, Union County PA Judge of Elections; and Glenpool Club. Inc. 

Christa Lese Martin, PhD, of Lewisburg, is the Associate Chief Scientific Officer with Geisinger Health Autism and Developmental Medicine. Martin has medical, scientific, and research background in human genetics, autism, developmental and neuropsychiatric disorders, as well as laboratory medicine. She is a graduate of Penn State University and received her Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is actively involved on the Autism Advisory Board at Misericordia University.

Karl Alvin Voss, PhD, of Selinsgrove, is the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences at Bucknell University. A Bucknell mathematics professor since 1999 who chaired the department from 2008-2012, Voss was named Dean in May 2018 after serving in an interim Dean role since July 2016. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Yale University. He also currently serves on the Audit Committee of Wesley United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.

Evangelical Community Hospital’s Echocardiography service recently earned reaccreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The accreditation is for both the Hospital and Selinsgrove Imaging Center, located at 21 Susquehanna Valley Mall Dr, Selinsgrove.
