In the nomination, Proud said, "The Pre-Admission Care team demonstrates excellent teamwork and a collaborative spirit in working with many internal and external customers. They are patient-focused and exhibit compassion, respect, and accountability in meeting the needs of their patients and coworkers."

Proud continued, "Patients often thank staff for the attention and education they receive and other departments express appreciation for the assistance Pre-Admission Care staff give them."

The award was presented to the team by Kendra Aucker, President and CEO at Evangelical Community Hospital.
