Teresa K. Swenson Named Associate Vice President of Surgery

Teresa K. Swenson, MBA, BSH, CCRP, RT (R)(CT)(ARRT), has been named Associate Vice President of Surgery at Evangelical Community Hospital.

In this role, Ms. Swenson is responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, coordinating, and evaluating all aspects of operations for the physicians and clinic practices related to surgery. These areas include the practices of Evangelical Medical Services Organization that relate to general surgery, orthopaedics, OB/GYN, the Center for Breast Health, wound clinic, pain clinic, and bariatric clinic.

Beginning her career as a Radiologic Technologist, Ms. Swenson has over two decades of healthcare experience. Ms. Swenson holds a Bachelor of Science Health Degree from the University of North Florida and obtained her Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Scranton-Geisinger Executive MBA Program. In 2011, Ms. Swenson received her Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification from The Society of Clinical Research Associates.

Most recently, Ms. Swenson served as Director of Research and Clinical Operations for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery of the Geisinger Health System, Danville. She also currently serves as a Certification Specialist for the International Geriatric Fracture Society (IGFS), assisting sites seeking IGFS certification.

An active member of the community, Ms. Swenson is an Advisory Board Member of Central Penn College for degrees in RN to BSN, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, and Radiology Services. She also serves on the Advisory Board for the Northumberland County Career and Technology Center for the Health Occupations Career Program.
