Strokes for Stroke Held at Evangelical Community Hospital
May 08, 2017
Evangelical Community Hospital hosted a Strokes for Stroke event put on by the American Heart Association on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. The creative class, led by Traci Messinger with Paint, Party, and More of Milton, helps those recovering from a stroke by stimulating brain function and improving hand-eye coordination. Research shows that painting and art therapy can be an enjoyable way to enhance rehabilitation for those who have experienced a stroke. The stroke art therapy project is supported by Evangelical Community Hospital as part of their sponsorship of the Central Susquehanna Valley Heart Walk, set for Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Hufnagle Park in Lewisburg.
