Volunteers Recognized at Evangelical Community Hospital - 2017

April 28, 2017

Evangelical Community Hospital has 232 active volunteers on the rolls, including one superhero who visits kids, and some furry friends and their owners who bring their special type of comfort to patients and visitors. Evangelical volunteers help patients and visitors find their way, provide comfort through visits and spiritual care, deliver newspapers, assist staff in many ways, and so much more. No matter what type of work Evangelical volunteers do, each adds a service that enables the Hospital to maintain its quality of care.

For National Volunteer Week, which was celebrated from April 23-29, 2017, Evangelical let volunteers know they make a difference to the patient experience every day through the giving of their time and talent. Those volunteers reaching milestones in their time given were visited and presented special pins throughout the week, and on Thursday, April 27, 2017, a special reception of food, music, and gifts was held to thank them for their contributions to the Hospital.

The Evangelical volunteer team continues to grow its ranks and invites anyone, teenager or adult, looking for an opportunity to give their time to call 570-522-2144.
