Our team at The Family Place wants to help you learn everything you’ll need to know about preparing for the birth of your baby, including:

  • labor
  • delivery
  • the care of your new baby

That’s why we designed our helpful Perinatal Education Program (PEP) as a free service to expectant parents in our community. You don’t need to enroll in the program to have your baby at Evangelical, but we encourage you to participate.

Program Benefits

As a participant of Evangelical’s PEP program, you’ll receive:

  • a pre-admission visit to the hospital at about 36 weeks into your pregnancy. During this visit, you’ll get an orientation to The Family Place and complete most of the paperwork we’ll need during your delivery. We’ll also provide you with helpful educational materials. By taking care of these details ahead of time, you’ll be able to focus on yourself and your baby during your hospital stay.
  • a postpartum visit a few days after you leave the hospital. During this visit, one of our nurses will check to make sure that you and your new baby are doing well. The nurse also can help answer any questions you may have and assist you with any challenges you may experience with breastfeeding.
