High Risk Clinic
Evangelical's Annual Mammothon
Join us at the Susquehanna Valley Mall, where volunteers invite women to schedule their mammograms. Help us reach our goal and save lives with the power of early detection.
For those whose lifetime risk of developing breast cancer is greater than 20 percent, the Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health at Evangelical Community Hospital has developed a new High Risk Clinic where highly trained medical staff works with individual patients in the areas of prevention and early detection. (For those with no known risks or breast health issues, we also provide a Well Breast Clinic.)
Each patient's medical history is thoroughly evaluated to determine potential risk factors.
Our physicians and care team use this information to design a personalized service aimed at reducing the lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.
What We Do
The clinic offers comprehensive services including:
- Risk assessment based on personal and family health histories
- Genetic screening
- Risk Management
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) screening

Prevention and Early Detection
By speeding exam results, providing access to specialty care and improving communication among patients, primary physicians and specialists, the clinic helps manage the risk of breast cancer and detect it in its early stages.
In addition to meeting patients' healthcare needs, the clinic strives to alleviate the fear and anxiety typically associated with a high risk of developing breast cancer.
