Evangelical Adds Rheumatologist, Lisa Anne Mucciolo, MD to Team

Evangelical Community Hospital is pleased to announce Lisa Anne Mucciolo, MD, will be joining its team of experts starting in July. Practicing at Rheumatology of Evangelical, new and existing patients of Mucciolo can receive treatment and medical management of arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.

Patients with rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, gout, osteoporosis, and other conditions of the joints, muscles, and bones often benefit from the care of a rheumatology specialist.

Board Certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Mucciolo has been practicing medicine since 1996. Mucciolo received her Bachelor of Science degree from James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., and went on to receive her Medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. She completed her internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa., where she also completed her Rheumatology Fellowship.

Prior to working with Evangelical, Mucciolo served as a Rheumatology Physician at Susquehanna Valley Medical Specialties, P.C., in Bloomsburg, Pa.

Practicing in Bloomsburg for 12 years, Mucciolo provides the latest treatments for arthritis and other joint related conditions and hopes to grow her practice by serving patients from Union and the surrounding counties.

“Making patients feel better by providing treatment that relieves pain, increases function, and keeps them active is the most rewarding part of my job,” said Mucciolo. “I believe consistent care from a specialist who knows the individual patient works in their best interest. I can create care plans for adults from all walks of life that speak to the activities they want to continue doing.”

Mucciolo is welcoming new patients and practicing at Rheumatology of Evangelical, 3 Hospital Drive, Suite 206, Lewisburg, Pa.
