Evangelical Invites Golfers and Sponsors to Take Part in 28th Golf Classic Event
LEWISBURG- Evangelical Community Hospital will host its 28th Golf Classic Event on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. Morning and afternoon shotgun starts are available at 8 am and 1:30 pm. Entry fee for each golfer is $125 and includes green fees, golf cart, buffet lunch, and refreshments on the course. A light breakfast and dinner will also be provided.
This year’s event features on-the-course contests and a chance to win a 2014 Ford Fusion from Selinsgrove Ford with a hole-in-one on the course. For the fifth consecutive year, the Savitz Organization is the main Golf Classic Event Sponsor. Other sponsorship opportunities are available for those looking to support Evangelical Community Hospital’s Pre-Hospital Services Program.
Awards to the top three teams (gross and net) in the morning and afternoon will be announced during meal time after all golfers have returned their score cards.
Held annually, the event raises funds for life-sustaining treatments performed by trained paramedics at the scene of an emergency. Paramedics also provide vital patient information to Emergency Department personnel before the patient arrives at the ER doors.
“Many of the advancements of care available through Pre-Hospital Services have been made possible through the funds raised during this annual event. Over $800,000 has been raised throughout the history of the event and this year we look forward to adding to that total. Each dollar raised contributes to the care patients receive during emergency situations. We can’t thank those who’ve supported the event enough for their contributions in making the tournament a success,” said Heather Snyder, Evangelical Development Coordinator.
