Evangelical Welcomes Helen Lambe, MD, Dedicated Women’s Healthcare Physician
Evangelical Community Hospital is pleased to welcome Helen A. Lambe, MD, to its medical staff. With her arrival, women in the Central Susquehanna Valley now have another option for dedicated care of women’s issues.
Trained in obstetrics and gynecology, Lambe has 20 years of women’s health experience and performs general gynecological care emphasizing prevention and health maintenance. Lambe also addresses cancer screening, birth control, treatment of problem menstrual cycles, and treatment of menopausal symptoms and issues.
Lambe received her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, State College, Pa., and went on to receive her Medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey, Pa. She completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and the Pennsylvania Medical Association.
Prior to working with Evangelical, Lambe served as a Physician OB/GYN first with Women’s Healthcare of Clarion in Clarion, Pa., and then at Nason Obstetrics and Gynecology in Roaring Spring, Pa. Most recently she served as Director of Obstetrical Services at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, Pa.
Born and raised in York, Pa., Lambe has worked and lived in Pennsylvania her entire life. Her decision to practice medicine was largely influenced by watching her uncle who served as a family doctor until the age of 80. Though trained in a large medical facility, Lambe always wanted to work in a smaller, friendly, and caring community hospital and is excited to join Evangelical Community Hospital’s network of physicians.
Lambe is welcoming new patients and practicing at Strawbridge Family Medicine, 998 Strawbridge Road, Northumberland, Pa. She will also be serving women with emergency obstetrical needs at Evangelical Community Hospital’s The Family Place.
To schedule an appointment for gynecology and women’s health medicine, call Strawbridge Family Medicine at 570-473-0545.
