Evangelical Welcomes New Pediatrician

 Evangelical Community Hospital is pleased to welcome a new pediatrician to its Medical Staff. Mary Beth O’Hara, DO, FAAP will be joining the Evangelical Medical Service Organization (EMSO) on August 15, 2013. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and completed her pediatric residency at Janet Weis Children’s Hospital in Danville.
Currently accepting new patients, Dr. O’Hara is dedicated to the health and wellness of every child in her care. Building on her experience as a physician and mother of three, she approaches parents as partners in the health of their child.
Dr. O’Hara earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. An Internal Medicine/Rotating Internship at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Allentown and the pediatric residency at the Janet Wise Children’s Hospital completed her education. Prior to joining the EMSO, O’Hara worked as an attending pediatrician at Susquehanna Health Medical Group Pediatrics for nearly 14 years and also served as the Chairman for the Department of Pediatrics at Susquehanna Health/Williamsport Hospital, Williamsport.

Evangelical is a non-profit organization that employs approximately 1,300 people and has more than 170 employed and non-employed physicians on staff. The Hospital is licensed to accommodate 130 overnight patients, 12 acute rehab patients and 18 bassinets. The Hospital serves residents throughout the Central Susquehanna Valley, including those living in Snyder, Union, Northumberland and Lycoming Counties.
