Evangelical’s First Baby of June Named 2013 Dairy Baby

In honor of National Dairy Month, Ashley Wetzel, the current SUN Area Dairy Princess, presented the first baby born in June at Evangelical Community Hospital’s The Family Place with a basket full of “Got Milk” goodies and the honor of being named the Dairy Baby of 2013.

Mason Paige received the Dairy Baby recognition. He was born on June 2, 2013 at 2:01 am, weighing 9 pounds, 14 ounces and measuring 21 inches in length. Mason joins his big brother, Jaxon, and his parents, Brandon and Courtney Paige of Mt. Pleasant Mills.

National Dairy Month started in June of 1937 and has become an annual tradition developed to celebrate the dairy industry and its many contributions to our society. Each day, America’s dairy farm families invest their time, energy and passion into producing great-tasting milk and dairy foods. Dairy foods like milk, cheese and yogurt are nutrition-rich and are produced using fewer resources to help foster healthy people, healthy communities and a healthy planet.
