In 2011, Evangelical expanded its surgical strength by acquiring a local surgical group, now known as Evangelical Surgical Specialists. The eight board certified surgeons, specialize in everything from general surgery, to head and neck surgery, to wound care and hyperbaric medicine with special emphasis on minimally invasive procedures that have the patient back to their active lifestyle sooner with less pain and scarring.
All of the surgeons are certified by the American Board of Surgery with several holding medical directorships over departments of Evangelical such as wound and hyperbaric medicine, bariatric and surgical services, the peripheral vascular lab, and Evangelical’s center for breast health.
The expansion of surgical services to the Williamsport area provides another choice of specialists to individuals in Lycoming County. Evangelical Surgical Services accepts most insurances and will work with physicians for referral.
