Generous Gift to Benefit Joint Replacement Patients at Evangelical’s Center for Orthopaedics

Lou Ann Sheets, of Montandon, along with her husband, Dale, recently donated a recliner chair for total joint replacement patients of the newly opened Center for Orthopaedics at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
In 2009, Lou Ann received a double-knee replacement through the Joint Replacement Program and wanted to make a gift to honor Pam Harpster, RN, and Deb Reichard, RN, for the care she received during her rehabilitation and treatment. Thanks to the Sheets’ generous gift, future patients of the joint replacement program will benefit from the chair that resides in their room for recovery without being in bed and goes with them to therapy where exercises and stretches can be accommodated by the chair’s features.
