Helen Lambe, MD, Dedicated Women’s Healthcare Physician Joins Lewisburg Practice
Evangelical is a non-profit organization that employs approximately 1,600 people and has more than 170 employed and non-employed physicians on staff. The Hospital is licensed to accommodate 132 overnight patients, 12 acute rehab patients and 18 bassinets. The Hospital serves residents throughout the Central Susquehanna Valley, including those living in Snyder, Union, Northumberland, and Lycoming Counties.
OB/GYN Associates of Lewisburg is pleased to announce Helen A. Lambe, MD, is joining their women’s healthcare professionals at 3 Hospital Drive, Suite 216, Lewisburg, Pa. Lambe will continue to see patients at both OB/GYN Associates and at Strawbridge Family Medicine, 998 Strawbridge Road, Northumberland, Pa.
Trained in obstetrics and gynecology, Lambe has 20 years of women’s health experience and performs obstetrics and general gynecological care emphasizing prevention and health maintenance. Lambe also addresses cancer screening, birth control, treatment of problem menstrual cycles, and treatment of menopausal symptoms and issues.
Lambe received her Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, State College, Pa., and went on to receive her Medical degree from Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey, Pa. She completed her OB/GYN residency at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and the Pennsylvania Medical Association.
Prior to working with Evangelical, Lambe served as a Physician OB/GYN first with Women’s Healthcare of Clarion in Clarion, Pa., and then at Nason Obstetrics and Gynecology in Roaring Spring, Pa. Most recently she served as Director of Obstetrical Services at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring, Pa.
Born and raised in York, Pa., Lambe has worked and lived in Pennsylvania her entire life. Her decision to practice medicine was largely influenced by watching her uncle who served as a family doctor until the age of 80. Though trained in a large medical facility, Lambe always wanted to work in a friendly, and caring community hospital and is excited to join Evangelical Community Hospital’s network of physicians.
OB/GYN Associates will officially transition to OB/GYN of Evangelical starting July 1, 2014, as a result of Evangelical Community Hospital’s purchase of the practice. In addition to the current compliment of excellent providers, existing and new patients will have more options for OB/GYN professionals and can expect the same level of care provided by other Evangelical locations.
With the addition of Lambe, OB/GYN Associates includes five board-certified physicians, four certified midwives, two certified registered nurse practitioners (CRNP), and a certified physician assistant (PA). These experienced providers offer a wide-range of healthcare services for women of all ages including obstetrical and prenatal care, high-risk pregnancy, infertility, and all aspects of gynecological care and surgery.
