Evangelical Community Hospital Kicks Off October “Paint the Valley Pink” with Fun, New Event
Evangelical Community Hospital and Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation are teaming up in October once again to “Paint the Valley Pink,” raising awareness for the importance of mammograms in the fight against cancer. This year, a new event is kicking off the month-long festivities, “Cookin’ Men.”
An evening of fun, good spirits and culinary delights, “Cookin’ Men” will be held on Thursday, October 6 from 6-8 pm at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club. The event features local male celebrities cooking their “signature dishes,” all to raise funds for the Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health at Evangelical and the fight against breast cancer. “Cookin’ Men” is sponsored by Lewisburg Gynecology and Obstetrics.
Local celebrities include Drew Kelly from 94.1 WQKX, Todd Keeley of Keeley’s Bakery in Lewisburg, Paul Smith from the Badlees and Chef Errol Walters from the Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
“Each year, Paint the Valley Pink gets bigger and better,” Kelly said. “Cookin’ Men is a really exciting addition to the lineup, and I’m thrilled to be participating and supporting such a fantastic cause.”
Tickets are $25 each or six for $100. To purchase tickets, visit www.evanhospital.com/cookinmen or call (570) 522-2685.
