Take Precaution Against Influenza with Flu Shots by Evangelical Community Hospital

Flu seasons are unpredictable. The timing, length and severity vary each year, typically with a peak during January and February.  Based on this, the Centers for Disease Control recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone six months of age and older. Receiving the flu shot as soon as it becomes available each year is ideal as the protection will continue throughout the flu season.

Evangelical Community Hospital’s Health and Wellness has scheduled several flu clinics to make receiving the vaccination convenient for individuals in Snyder, Union, and Northumberland counties. Vaccinations are available to individuals 3 years of age and older at the Community Clinics. The cost for a flu shot is $30 and pneumonia vaccines are available for an additional $65.

Please bring your insurance cards to the clinic. In addition to the scheduled clinics, appointments can be made at the Evangelical Community Health and Wellness Center  located at 7095 West Branch Highway, Lewisburg, on Mondays from 9 am – noon, Wednesdays from noon – 4 pm, and Friday from 9 am to noon or 1- 3 pm.
