Foot and Ankle Specialist, Gerard Cush, MD, Joining SUN Orthopaedics of Evangelical

Evangelical Community Hospital is welcoming Gerard Cush, MD, Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgeon, to SUN Orthopaedics of Evangelical, Lewisburg. Dr. Cush will be available to patients beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

As an orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Cush specializes in the treatment of sports-related injuries and fractures of the foot and ankle, ankle arthritis treatment including total ankle replacement or fusion, flat foot/midfoot disorders, Achilles disorders, Hallux valgus (bunion) and great toe arthritis, lesser toe disorders, heel pain, nerve disorders, and other foot and ankle problems or pathology.

With Dr. Cush’s arrival, SUN Orthopaedics of Evangelical adds the orthopaedic specialty of foot and ankle to its already excellent orthopaedic offerings. Dr. Cush, along with the existing team of board-certified surgeons, work together to provide comprehensive orthopaedic care giving patients relief from pain, restored motion, and better overall health.

Dr. Cush completed his Fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisc.; his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville; his internship at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia; and his medical education at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, AO North American foot and ankle faculty, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, American Orthopaedic Association, and American Orthopaedic Society of 3D Printing.

Along with his formal education and professional memberships, Dr. Cush has held physician leadership positions including Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at an area healthcare system.
