The Family Place Mission Statement and Visiting Guidelines

Mission Statement

The Family Place at Evangelical embraces the beauty and diversity of life. It is our privilege to share with you in life’s greatest experience – the birth of your baby.

We respect the importance of support and encourage involvement of family and friends during this joyful event. We also recognize birth as a unique and natural process and extend to you an environment of knowledge, support, and nurturing.

Your Rights as a Patient at The Family Place

  • If we’re delivering your baby by cesarean section – and you will be awake during the procedure, one person is able to join you in the operating room. Whoever goes with you will need to agree in advance to immediately leave the operating room at the staff’s direction if this becomes necessary.
  • Regulations protecting your privacy mean that our staff cannot share information about you with your family or friends without your authorization.
