High Risk Clinic

Because some women have a high risk of developing breast cancer, the Thyra M. Humphreys Center for Breast Health at Evangelical offers a special clinic for high-risk patients.

What We Do

Our expert, caring team of breast-health professionals thoroughly evaluate each individual’s medical history to determine the patient’s potential risk factors. We then use this information to design a personalized plan to help reduce the patient’s lifetime risk of developing breast cancer.

Our High Risk Clinic services include:

  • risk assessment based on personal and family health histories
  • clinical breast exams
  • genetic testing
  • risk-factor management
  • magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) screening
  • breast health education
  • proactive treatment using the latest pharmaceutical therapies
  • rapid turnaround of exam results

Caring for the Whole Patient

Beyond providing high-risk patients with the specialized, physical care they need to help prevent and detect breast cancer in its earliest stages, we also address their emotional concerns. Our compassionate, caring staff helps high-risk patients learn to manage the fear and anxiety that often go along with having a high risk of developing the disease.
